“Pumpkin Trail” Carves Its Way to Green Mill Village Theatre

You can paint them or carve them, just don’t eat them (yet)! Amish Country of Illinois is kicking off the Fall season with their annual Pumpkin Trail. This historic event taking place now through October 31 and the Green Mill Village Theatre has been fortunate enough to hosts this year’s Arcola display. Come by GMV Theatre and submit a decorated pumpkin or check out the display! You can also find displays set up around Arthur, Sullivan, and Tuscola.

“The Amish Country of Illinois Pumpkin Trail is a fun way to celebrate the beauty of fall, while seeing the different shops and activities each individual town has to offer,” said Cassie Yoder, Green Mill Village Marketing and Development. “Even if you don’t decorate a pumpkin yourself, you’ll want to stop by one or more of the displays, pack up the kids and take a look at the hard work and artist talent of the carvers and painters.”

The pumpkin displays are taking place in Arthur at The Great Pumpkin Patch, in Arcola at the Green Mill Village Theatre, in Tuscola at the Tuscola Park across from Flesor’s Candy Kitchen, and in Sullivan at the Buxton’s Garden and Flower Shop. Each location has a unique set up and display. “Every year truckloads of pumpkins are grown in our region and similarly, carloads of tourists come to see our picturesque towns. While here, visitors can see our farmers during harvest, shop and dine in our unique stores or catch a show at the Theatre,” Yoder stated.
